let’s chat details →

Together, we create tangible, next steps and goals for your business, and in the process relieve some of the built up stress and anxiety you’re carrying all on your own.

We chat for 45 minutes, once a week, for 6 weeks, about everything from settings, to editing, to location choices, to business topics, to building your business, to doing it all while mom-ing. We’d review your images and your situation specifically, and you can vent and unload all your thoughts about your business onto someone who gets it!

What’s Included?

There’s a gap in the photography community between photography education and high-end, expensive photography coaching. Entrepreneurship can be such a lonely journey, and sometimes you just need a sounding board (or a magic mirror!) to help you realize where you need to go next.

I feel SO called to bridge that gap. Affordable, relatable photography business coaching for mamas who are trying to make their work life balance dreams come true. Whether you just started, or are in year 3 of your journey, I want to be your magic mirror.

1 On 1 Coaching:

Dana would have whatever lesson or topic we were going to discuss, but during it authentic conversation would arise and sometimes we would Segway a bit to answer the questions I had and it was wonderful! It wasn’t so structured or “lesson plans”ish that there was not room for real flow and adjusting to happen. It gives you time to ask those questions that come up that you don’t feel like you can ask in a big group - and those little questions can be a big deal.

"It gives you time to ask those questions that come up that you don’t feel like you can ask in a big group"

kind words from Rebekah R:

Dana's mentorship has transformed my business in so many ways! I left each session feeling so much more motivated, confident and positive. Dana was able to help me stay focused and see my potential in ways I never dreamed on both as a mom, teacher, and photographer.

"Dana's mentorship has transformed my business in so many ways!"

kind words from Suji P:

Learning the exposure triangle has been my biggest struggle. One hour with Dana hands-on training, she was able to SHOW me how each leg of the triangle impacts the other. I have been able to take these lessons and begin to formulate my own photography style. I LOVE how she teaches the simplistic basics of the camera and how to capture your intent and discover your own style!

"I love how she teaches the basics and how to discover your own style!"

kind words from ashley g:

All of the technical skills we went over helped me a lot, but the one single thing that helped me most was the emotional support. As a beginner, I was very anxious with the things that I have done and always wonder if I was on the "right" track. I needed someone to talk to, ask questions, and understand that I'm not alone! Thank you Dana for making this business so much more manageable!

The Moments To Memories Course is an intro to photography course for for moms who deserve more. It's designed to teach you the quickest, easiest way to figure out how to properly use that DSLR or mirrorless "big" camera in your everyday life... because you should be able to get some amazing photos of your kiddos in the in-between, timeless moments  of your life.

02: Moments To Memories Course

coming soon!

There are a few additional things you would want to purchase to make the most of this course. I like to be upfront so you don’t buy it and then are blindsided with MORE things to purchase. We will cover exactly what I recommend in the course, so don’t go a spending spree yet, but here is a quick overview:

A DSLR camera. If you have one of the newer mirrorless cameras, great! Basically, it needs to have a manual mode where you control the settings. (Might have one, but $500 or less if you don’t)
Lightroom, which is the adobe editing software I use. I recommend the photographers plan which is $9.99 per month, and includes photoshop (which the course has a couple bonus modules on!)
A 50mm f/1.8 lens. Again, we’ll talk about which specific ones in the course, but this lens is between a $100-200 investment. It’s not REQUIRED, but to get those creamy backgrounds… highly recommended.

additional needs:

This course is designed for moms. You’ll learn TONS about photography in general, and photographing kids, even if you don’t have them, but this course was written and is explained as if I was coaching a mom friend through how to use her camera.
The editing portion of this course does cover what each of the sliders in Lightroom do, and you can edit your photos however you’d like with that knowledge! However, the examples I show will be edited how I would edit those for my photography business, which is light and bright but true to color, with a bit of pop. If you are looking for a course that teaches you how to shoot dark and moody, this is not the course for you (and that’s ok!!).

Things You Should Know:

I cover EVERYTHING from picking up your dusty DSLR to exporting the photos from your computer after editing.

What’s Included?

Moments To Memories Course: A DSRL intro course for moms looking to learn how to use their dusty “big camera” in an affordable, easy-to-comprehend way.
