I just want to say… These two are some of my favorite people on earth! Their wedding was pretty heavily affected by Coronavirus, and I was just floored by the way they so eloquently pivoted their original plans into something new. This day was so perfectly them and I feel so, so honored to have been a part of it!
We started at dawn at Avon Hill – they actually rented out the lodging their for their whole crew to stay at for an extended weekend of celebration! We woke up to LITERALLY living in a cloud, and it was a dream. Their first look was so sweet, and we managed to steer clear of the wildlife we saw the night before (we know for sure a skunk, and pretty sure a momma opossum and her babies ?) for sunrise portraits.
Everyone else got ready during portrait time, and we all met at Swannanoa for the most beautiful ceremony I have ever seen. Brittany was BEAUTIFUL coming down the pergola isle with her dad, and their vows were just the most heart warming and well thought out vows I’ve heard. I definitely cried – what is new though. We were able to take formal portraits of the wholeeee group, and watch Brittany and Von unearth the bourbon they buried for good luck. We ended with a tour of the property and mansion, and of course took that opportunity for some portraits.
I was so honored to be a part of this day and cannot thank Von, Brittany, and their family and friends for being so welcoming and kind to me. It was a dream and I just love reliving it through these photos. I hope you do, too!
