A Mid Morning Summer Family Session | Alexandria VA

July 15, 2020

More BOYS!! I just love all the little boys I’ve been seeing lately – they are so fun and bring such a wild joy to our sessions. The T family spent an hour with me mid morning, and boy did we find the CUTEST little area in Fort Hunt Park for their photos. Baby boy just turned one and we wanted to get some great family photos to mark such a sweet milestone. I did his newborn photos a year ago, and he had a full head of hair then, too!)

I always say the “glowy light” is the hour after sunrise or before sunset. While that’s true, some days you get the good in-and-out sunlight for that even, clean look that these photos have. There were some clouds in the sky diffusing the light for me, but the biggest secret to why these look so clean? That pretty, white pebble pathway. The light reflecting off of those and back onto these beautiful people gives them that crisp, clean light. You’re welcome for this lil lesson in photography – you can file this under “Dana is a light nerd 101” ?

Enjoy this beautiful family!!

I had to put both of these in here – he is just the ultimate ham!! ?
THE. SWEETEST. If you’re a mama… I know you know. ?
These little faces KILL ME!!! ???
FYI… No editing on those eyes. That’s just how amazing they are in real life. WHAT!
Sweet boy held his mama’s hand on the way out ??
