Sisters. There is nothing better! And these two are such a fun age apart. One is a blonde and one has dark hair – just like their beautiful and amazing parents! I had such a fun time getting to know this family in Falls Church when I photographed baby number two.

It’s so funny to be a mom of young children… who takes photos of young children for a living. I feel like I have just about everything in common with these new parents, and can talk through ALL the things with them. From the sleepless nights, to the first smiles, to navigating those first few weeks at home. I truly am honored to get to know them, and become friends.

We played, we laughed, we entertained a toddler. That’s how so many newborn sessions of second babies go, and it is just the most rewarding. I love to show big sister (or brother) that they still get LOTS of attention, because tiny baby doesn’t notice any different yet!

This newborn session was no different… and you could just FEEL the love these parents had for their baby girls. My job is amazing.
